Util Tools ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what data is and is not collected when you use Util Tools.

Tool data stays in your browser

Every tool on Util Tools runs entirely client-side. Text, files, and other input you provide are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. Closing the tab discards that data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized traffic (pages visited, approximate region, device type). Google may set cookies for this purpose. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Usage analytics

To understand which tools are useful and how many people visit, we record a first-party usage count when you use a tool. This stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage (not a cookie, not tied to your identity) and sends only the tool's name and that identifier to our server. We never send the text, files, or other input you enter into a tool, and this data is not shared with advertisers. Clearing your browser storage resets the identifier.

Advertising

Util Tools displays ads served by Google AdSense to keep the tools free. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to show and measure ads, including interest-based advertising based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

We do not share the data you enter into tools with advertisers. For details on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can manage ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings, or opt out of interest-based advertising via Your Online Choices or the DAA opt-out.

Cookies

Cookies used on this site come from the third-party analytics and advertising providers described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools themselves will keep working.

Children

Util Tools is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
